Terms of service

A free, best-effort service

Birthdaybot is provided free of charge and as-is, to the extent permitted by law. We do our best to save birthdays and deliver reminders, but cannot guarantee availability, accurate interpretation, or delivery of every message.

Check the birthdays you save and import. Do not rely on Birthdaybot as your only reminder for critical matters. Delivery also depends on WhatsApp, Twilio and other service providers.

Acceptable use

Use Birthdaybot lawfully. Do not send spam, abuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, or store personal data you have no right to store. You are responsible for the information you submit and for having an appropriate basis to save other people’s birthdays.

Birthdaybot does not automatically send birthday wishes to third parties on your behalf.

Changes or discontinuation

We may change, suspend or discontinue the service, or restrict access where necessary to prevent abuse. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice of significant changes. You can export your active birthday records by sending “export” to the bot.

Responsibility and your legal rights

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by missed or delayed reminders, service interruptions, or incorrect information you provide. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits your mandatory consumer or data protection rights.

Spanish law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes are subject to the courts of Madrid, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to another applicable law or court.
